Kitengo Cha Sheria
Chuo Cha Usafirishaji (NIT) ni Taasisi ya Umma ya Elimu ya Juu iliyoanzishwa chini ya Sheria ya NIT Sura ya 187, ikiwa na jukumu kuu la kutoa elimu na mafunzo, kufanya tafiti pamoja na kutoa ushauri elekezi katika nyanja za Usafirishaji, Usimamizi na Teknolojia ya Uchukuzi. Taasisi hii ipo chini ya Wizara ya Uchukuzi.
Makao yake makuu yapo upande wa magharibi mwa Jiji la Dar es Salaam, katika eneo la viwanda vidogo vya Ubungo, barabara ya Mabibo. NIT imepewa kibali na Baraza la Taifa la Elimu ya Ufundi na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi (NACTVET) kutoa mafunzo ya msingi katika ngazi za Astashahada, Stashahada, Shahada na Shahada ya Uzamili (NTA ngazi ya 4 hadi 9).
Taasisi ina jumla ya watumishi 421, ambapo 270 ni wahadhiri wa muda wote. Kati yao, wamo Maprofesa 2 pamoja na Wakufunzi Wakuu, Wahadhiri, Wasaidizi wa Wahadhiri, Wakufunzi na Wataalam wa maabara. Pia kuna watumishi wa kada za utawala wapatao 151.

Tangu kuanzishwa kwake mwaka 1972, Taasisi ya Usimamizi wa Fedha (IFM) imekuwa taasisi ya kwanza na kongwe ya elimu ya juu ya kifedha nchini Tanzania. Kwa muda wote, IFM imejikita katika kutoa elimu bora, kufanya tafiti zenye ubora wa kimataifa, na kutoa ushauri wa kitaalamu. Hadi sasa, taasisi hii ina takribani wanafunzi 15,000 wanaosoma katika ngazi za shahada ya kwanza na za uzamili.
Chuo cha IFM, wanafunzi hupewa motisha na kuhimizwa juu ya kuchunguza masuala muhimu ya karne ya 21 katika nyanja za usimamizi wa fedha, bima, ulinzi wa kijamii, na teknolojia ya habari. IFM inajivunia kutoa mazingira bora ya kujifunzia, ndani na nje ya darasa, yanayomwezesha mwanafunzi kukuza ujuzi na ubunifu.
Taasisi ina elimu katika ngazi tano zinazotoa vyeti, stashahada, shahada, stashahada za uzamili, na shahada za uzamili (masters). Taasisi itaendelea kuwa nguvu ya mabadiliko katika maendeleo ya sekta za umma na binafsi kwa kutoa elimu bora, mafunzo yanayoendana na mahitaji ya soko, pamoja na huduma za utafiti na ushauri wa kitaalamu.

Taasisi ya usimamizi wa Fedha
Mamlaka ya Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi (VETA) ni taasisi ya serikali yenye mamlaka kamili, iliyoanzishwa chini ya Sheria ya Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi, Sura ya 82 mnamo mwaka 1994. VETA imepewa jukumu la kutoa, kufadhili na kuratibu elimu na mafunzo ya ufundi stadi nchini Tanzania. Taasisi hii imeanziswa ikiwa na dira inayo sema “Tanzania yenye mafundi wa kutosha na wenye ujuzi stahiki.”
Dhamira kuu ya kuanzishwa kwa taasisi hii chini ya bunge la jamhuri ya muungano wa Tanzania ni kuhakikisha upatikanaji wa ujuzi wa ufundi stadi nchini Tanzania kupitia utoaji na uhamasishaji wa Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi (VET) ili kukidhi mahitaji ya soko la ajira kwa maendeleo ya kijamii na kiuchumi.

Veta imesonga mbele katika kuhakikisha kuwa mafunzo na huduma inazotoa ni stahiki na yanayojibu mahitaji halisi ya watu na soko la ajira.
Majukumu ya VETA
i. Kutoa Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi
VETA hutoa mafunzo kupitia vyuo vyake vilivyopo katika maeneo mbalimbali nchini. Walimu wa ufundi hufundishwa kupitia chuo maalum cha VETA kinachoitwa Chuo cha Ualimu wa Ufundi cha Morogoro (MVTTC).
ii. Kuwezesha Ufadhili wa Mafunzo ya Ufundi
VETA inaratibu upatikanaji wa fedha kwa ajili ya mafunzo ya ufundi kupitia Mfuko wa Maendeleo ya Ujuzi (Skills Development Levy – SDL). Chanzo cha mfuko huu ni michango ya waajiri kutoka sekta binafsi inayotokana na sehemu ya mishahara ya wafanyakazi. Vyanzo vingine vya fedha ni miradi ya maendeleo ya serikali, michango ya washirika wa maendeleo, pamoja na mapato ya ndani kama ada za mafunzo na shughuli za uzalishaji mali.
iii. Kuhamasisha Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi
VETA ina jukumu la kuelimisha na kuhamasisha jamii kuhusu umuhimu wa elimu na mafunzo ya ufundi. VETA inaamini kuwa wananchi wanaweza kuunga mkono elimu ya ufundi endapo utapewa taarifa sahihi kuhusu malengo na shughuli zake.
Uhamasishaji huu hufanyika kwa kushirikisha wadau mbalimbali kama serikali, wazazi, waajiri, wafanyakazi, wahisani, wanafunzi wa sasa na watarajiwa, wakufunzi, wahitimu wa VETA, wabunge, vyama vya wafanyakazi, mashirika yasiyo ya kiserikali, na vyombo vya habari.
VETA hutumia njia mbalimbali za mawasiliano kama vile vyombo vya habari, matangazo, maadhimisho ya Wiki ya VETA, maonyesho ya biashara na kazi, machapisho ya jarida, ripoti za mwaka, vipeperushi, katalogi za mafunzo, tovuti rasmi, na nyenzo nyingine za uhamasishaji.

Muundo wa Kiutawala
VETA inasimamiwa na Bodi ya Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi (VET Board).
Wakati wa kuanzishwa kwa VETA, Bodi hii iliundwa ili kusimamia mfumo mzima wa elimu ya ufundi nchini. Ni chombo cha utungaji wa sera chenye jukumu la kuhakikisha utekelezaji wa majukumu na usimamizi wa shughuli zote za mamlaka.
Bodi ya VET inaundwa na wajumbe kumi na mmoja (11) ambapo Mwenyekiti huteuliwa na Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, na wajumbe wengine kumi huteuliwa na Waziri mwenye dhamana ya Elimu na Mafunzo ya Ufundi Stadi.
Wajumbe hao kumi huteuliwa kwa mapendekezo yafuatayo:
i. Wajumbe wawili kutoka mashirika yanayowakilisha waajiri;
ii. Wajumbe wawili kutoka vyama vya wafanyakazi (kuwakilisha wafanyakazi);
iii. Wajumbe watatu kutoka wizara zinazohusika na viwanda, elimu na ajira;
iv. Wajumbe watatu kutoka mashirika yasiyo ya kiserikali yanayosimamia taasisi za mafunzo ya ufundi.
Wajumbe wote wanaoteuliwa lazima wawe watu wenye sifa na uwezo wa kuchangia maendeleo ya elimu na mafunzo ya ufundi stadi nchini.
Kipindi cha uongozi cha wajumbe wa bodi ni miaka mitatu (3), na baada ya kumalizika wanaweza kuteuliwa tena.
VETA administration
Dunia ya magari imejaa ubunifu, teknolojia ya hali ya juu, na hadhi inayovutia. Magari hayaishii tu kuwa chombo cha kurahisisha usafiri bali wabunifu wamizidi kwenda mbali na kuunda magari yanayo simama kama alama ya kuwakilisha ukwasi wa mtu, ubunifu, kiwakilishi cha utaifa, ubora wa watengenezaji pamoja na hadhi ya kijamii. 1. Kutumia CV ya jumla (generic CV)
Haioneshi uhusiano wa moja kwa moja kati yako na kazi unayoomba. Hakikisha unarekebisha sehemu muhimu za CV yako kulingana na kila nafasi unayoomba.
2. Kueleza majukumu badala ya mafanikio
Inaonyesha tu ulifanya nini, si matokeo uliyoleta. unachotakiwa kufanya ni kugeuza majukumu kuwa matokeo yanayopimika.
Mfano: “Nilisimamia bajeti” → “Nilisimamia bajeti ya masoko ya dola 200,000 kwa mwaka, nikiiboresha hadi kuongeza faida kwa asilimia 22.”
3. Muundo mbaya na tarehe zisizo sawia
Inaonekana haina utaalamu na huwacha wachambuzi wa ajira (recruiters) au mifumo ya ATS wakiwa na mkanganyiko. Hakikisha umetumia muundo rahisi na thabiti, na hakikisha tarehe zote ni sahihi.
4. CV kuwa ndefu sana au fupi sana
Ikiwa ndefu sana, mambo muhimu hufunikwa; ikiwa fupi sana, hukosa ushahidi wa uwezo wako.
5. Makosa ya maandishi na sarufi
Yanaharibu uaminifu wako wa kitaalamu. Soma CV yako mara kadhaa, soma kwa sauti, tumia zana za sarufi, au muombe mtu mwingine aiangalie.
6. Kutumia barua pepe au picha isiyo ya kitaalamu
Inaweza kutoa taswira mbaya kwa mwajiri. Hakikisha unatumia anwani ya barua pepe ya kitaalamu; ongeza picha tu pale inapohitajika kisheria au kitamaduni.
7. Kutoiboresha CV kwa ajili ya mfumo wa ATS
Kwenye ofisi au taasisi zinazo pokea maombi mengi kwa pamoja hutumia mfumo wa lielectoniki kuchambua CV. CV yako inaweza kukataliwa kabla haijafikishwa kwa binadamu kusoma.
Kuepuka hili tumia vichwa vya habari vya kawaida, ongeza maneno muhimu (keywords), na epuka muundo mgumu (kama jedwali au picha) unapowasilisha mtandaoni.

Clothing Is a Silent Conversation
People say, “Be yourself,” but they also expect you to dress like someone you’re not quite yet.
It’s not always about looking nice. It’s about saying, “I know what this room expects.”

You practice. Of course, you do.
You go over questions in your head. Maybe in the mirror. Maybe with a friend.
Then you sit in the room, and the words come out perfect… but dead.
A woman I helped once said, “I knew every question they’d ask. I answered like a textbook.”
She didn’t get the job.
They said she sounded “too polished.” Not present. Like someone reading off a page.
The Room Has a Pulse — You Need to Feel It
Some interviewers are cold. Some are trying to be your friend.
You can’t know until you’re there.
One guy kept his answers formal and stiff. Thought he was doing well.
But the panel was joking, smiling, trying to open him up. He never followed.
Later, he said, “I didn’t know I was allowed to loosen up.”
He was.
The Brain Freeze Is Inevitable
It happens. Even if you’re ready.
Someone asks something weird, or your brain blanks. You panic. Just a little.
It feels like forever.
But it’s not.
You can recover. Say, “Give me a second.” Or, “That caught me off guard.” That’s better than pretending.
People respect honesty more than smooth lies.
Walking Out Doesn’t End It
The moment you leave, you think it’s over. Done.
But it’s not.
A short note. A quick thank-you. A reference to something real from the conversation — not just, “Thanks for your time.” That’s what sticks.
I know someone who emailed one sentence: “That story about your dog made my morning.” That’s all.
They remembered her.
They’re Not Just Hiring a Skill Set
Your résumé says a lot. But it’s not enough.
People want to know if you’ll show up when it’s hard. If you’ll stay calm when things go wrong. If you’ll make the room lighter or heavier.
One recruiter said, “I can teach someone how to do the work. I can’t teach them how to not make things worse when it’s stressful.”
That’s what they’re looking for. And you can’t fake it.
Don’t Try to Win. Just Try to Be There.
Most of the people who get hired weren’t the flashiest.
They just felt real. They weren’t perfect. They missed words, paused awkwardly, maybe stumbled once or twice.
But they listened. They stayed present. They didn’t try to perform.
That’s the thing. People remember presence, not polish.
